My Every Thing

My EverythingComposed by Puabi You are my every thing; My sun in the morning, My moon at night. My messenger of good fortune; Now all is right. The air around us is calm and warm; The wind is low and softly blows. And, in our tight embrace, When I see your face, My heart, like a bird, takes flight. I adore you, beloved!

Only you

Another day passes slowly Life keeps on fading quietly My years have been spend worthlessly With no feeling fraternity I walk my way solemnly Make my path formally All eyes lay on me respectfully I'm treated like the great solely But I owe them back disgracefully I put them aside disdainfully I whip my worries mercilessly I am a powerful weapon ultimately But my bullets are stunned by you so suddenly Your Kindness shoed away my troubles so charmingly You helped me upon my feet willingly You expected nothing back unconditionally From that moment my mind was on you individually Even with all the fuss; you smile caringly Pain was caused

A Dragon and Her Shadow: Part 1

A Shattered Realms story Kraelia restlessly stirred herself awake, growling as the throbbing soreness in her wings ached in protest to the sudden movement. Like a nimble feline, she stretched her fore and hind legs, purring as a cold wave of relief washed over her tender limbs. She blinked away the bothersome sleep still blurring her vision, and noticed that night had risen outside the mouth of the cave, blanketing the sky in pure midnight velvet. Her calm, cerulean-blue eyes then lazily drifted towards the cave's other occupant. He was a man, clad head to toe in layers of dark cloth and black leather armor. His face, utterly obscured undern

This much is true

I was first introduced to this Spandau Ballet song back when I was a kid and used to stay up watching late night infomercials, back in the 90's or so. There was this one infomercial that used to air recurringly. Promoting hits from the 80's in a compilation album with this former MTV hostess. They would only play snippets but I'll never forget it's intro. I didn't even know the name of it but that warm, almost melancholic feeling always stuck with me. It was a sharp contrast to the other, more upbeat songs. They were advertising. It wasn't until many years later when I heard that song in it's entirety. At my old workplace If I remember correctly. I eventually looked it up and appreciated it from beginning to end. Guess I have a thing for scores that are subtle but emotionally powerful. After my mother died, this song took an entirely new meaning for me. I remember listening to it repeatedly while locked in my room. That was my way of coping. Whenever I relapse inside the darkest

A Peculiar Walk on Water

Sometimes, I wonder why I stayed in school.    Not that I am the type to drop out mind you, just… I found myself questioning the reason why I bothered to do more than finish that one English credit I needed during my senior year of high school. I knew I would be on my own for college, and at one time considered doing what my mother did before graduating from high school and going straight into the work force: finish my classes early, and start working a part-time job with my unused school day. It was a practical idea, and would get me something I lacked: real-world experience.      Either way, here I am on a sultry spring afte

Circle in the Sand Part Two-CG:LD One-Shot

Hi Everyone, Here is Part Two of Circle in the Sand for you all to enjoy. Me and Makarov hope you enjoy the chapter and seeing what Akira and Nathan are heading into come Liar's Dice. Thanks very much Kind Regards Akira and Nathan, having enjoyed their meals at the restaurant despite some twats from JLB Credit trying it to hit on her before seeing Nat and scrambling away, and gave their farewell to Maya and James, and made their way through Aberdeen. They strolled through the teeming streets of the city, its bustle a tangible entity that clung to the fringes of their solitude. There, nestled among the urban tapestry, was a poster - bright, unabashed, and festive - but carrying a message far beyond the yuletide sentiment. The poster was a tableau, a vibrant echo of the nations of England, Scotland, and Wales in their proud individuality, yet collectively robust. A united Ireland, too, lent its strong presence to the canvas. Representing each land were their soldiers, stoic

Die Cuwees und die verschwundenen... Leseprobe

„Wieso?! Was ist denn los?!“, wollte Violett wissen. Doch die Cuwees wussten auch nicht weiter. „Wir müssen auf die andere Seite des Portals, um das herauszufinden!“, beschloss Fluffle. „Oh... müsst ihr wirklich alle gehen?“, fragte Violett. „Von dieser Seite aus kann ich das Portal nicht reparieren. Und wenn wir alle zusammenarbeite

Speechless - Friends without Words Reading Sample

A new day. The alarm clock's soft melody let Lya awake slowly. It was so cuddly warm under the blanket, but she had to get up, otherwise she'd fall asleep again and get too late at school. And so she stretched herself and went into the bathroom, where she took a shower. She loves to sing while the warming water drops are raining down along her body. She even stood up a bit earlier recently, just to enjoy this time a little longer. The time she had all for herself and didn't have to think at anyone else. She used this time primarily to learn new lyrics of songs by heart, which she couldn't get out of her head for the time being. Frequently, s

Hope

It gets tiring holding all this hope. Why do I keep this small thing? It does not connect with anything like an electrical outlet or a blade into a sheath. On the contrary, it stands alone, somewhat as an accessory, something I can flaunt, but I never do. Sometimes I stumble on the uneven ground and scratch my knees on the rocks, tear my pants and drip blood onto my shoes, but I have yet to drop it. It stays firm in my calloused grip, warm and comforting. Many have challenged me – not to grasp this thing, possess it themselves. No, they simply wish to break it, stamp it into the dirt and extinguish the soft yellow glow – and I bea

Here and Now

Awakening            A chestnut-haired girl crouches in an old sandbox filled with coarse gravel. The Wisconsin River nearby is above its banks after a weeks’ rain, but is quiet aside from the occasional scream of a speedboat passing through. The girl continues playing with plants and the sticky sap of the pines hanging overhead, pretending they’re the ingredients to the medicines and rituals she’s been taught.              Crush, crush… squish, squish…            Her quiet game isn’t lonely for long. A rustle of leaves and the crack of an overburdened branch draw the girl’s attention.      Ther

... find me ...

The younger of the two, still quite attractive for her age, stirs in her cup mixing remnants of foamed cream, "Really? I'm concerned then, didn't see." The other, carefully touching up her lipstick in a gold rimmed compact "Oh damn it Sophia you know I hate lipstick off lip line." She lays lip pencil down and carefully cleans the slightest of misapplications from beneath her lower right lip. "Think about it, no tea ... how would the plan have proceeded?" She looks over the rim of he

Rachmaninoff

Rachmaninoff Throughout the long, long night Of October 28 The sky was dark with clouds Like inky emissions from a giant squid Covering the world like a shroud Far away in the wooded grove With only the light of the moon above There rang the base chords of a song From the works of Rachmaninoff As it played, the moon glowed Then lightning cracked Thunder boomed And in an instant, all was gone Gone Who would know what hand Had played those chords?

Flurry

I like to sit outside and watch the wind pluck the snow from the ground to adorn the trees. I enjoy the sharp burst of burning cold as flurries sneak past my scarves and slap my neck, as if to say "I'm here," a greeting from the heavens. I love to sketch the sharp contrast of shorn branches reclothed in snow and ice and the weaker lines of light that illuminate them in the sky, I love the play of glistening snow and shadow that dance across the trees and snow and sky. I wish I lived further north where the aurora borealis paint the skies in ghostly green blue strokes of impermanent ink. I wish I could transpose the wind's aria so a sembl

An important lesson for you

For twenty two years she had looked at herself the same way every time she stood in front of the mirrors placed around her apartment. The one in the bathroom, the hallway and she had even hung a smaller one over the black bureau in her bedroom. Why? She hated mirrors and anything that caused her to see her body, so why did she have so many mirrors that she was forced to pass everyday? It made no sense. Even thought she hate it she always, uncontrollably, threw an eye at the reflecting glass every time she passed them. And every day she hated it. But she never took them down. As she aged her thoughts of herself worsened as her body did the
